Your cat is happiest at home.I make sure it can stay that way.
Personal visits at your home in Enschede and surrounding areas. Tailored to your cat’s personality and routine, with daily updates while you’re away.
With Christian, your dedicated cat sitter

Bonita loves coming over for a cuddle on my lap.
Care that comes to your cat
For many cats, there is no better place to stay while you are away than their own home. Cats are creatures of habit, and changes to their surroundings and daily routine can cause stress and unease. At home, familiar smells, favourite spots and their usual rhythm all stay the same.

After a good play session, it’s time for a big yawn. Holidays can be tiring for cats too.
Trusted surroundings
Your cat simply stays at home, surrounded by familiar smells, sleeping spots and belongings. No change of environment, just the calm and comfort of their own territory.
Their usual routine stays the same
Meals, sleep, play and attention are kept as close as possible to the routine your cat is used to. Especially for sensitive, older or more reserved cats, that predictability can make a real difference.
You stay close
After every visit, you receive a personal update with photos and/or a short video. That way, you can see for yourself how your cat is doing, even while you are away from home.
What that means in practice
No two cats are the same. That is why I tailor every visit to what your cat needs and to the arrangements we make together beforehand. Food, the litter tray and any medication are all part of the care, but just as important is giving your cat the kind of attention that suits them: playing, cuddling or simply giving them some space. I also keep an eye on your home and personally let you know how things are going after every visit.
Included with every visit
- Fresh food and water
- A clean litter tray
- Attention, playtime or quiet time, in line with the usual routine
- Medication, if needed and according to your instructions
- A personal update with photos and/or a short video after every visit
- An extra pair of eyes on your home
- Collecting the post

This handsome boy is Alfred. I’m his favourite sitter!

Donut loves feathers. If I throw them, Donut brings them right back!

Coco is making the most of the last rays of sunshine!

Pica and Bo: clearly not on the same page when it comes to cat grass.

Kiwi is soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the view.

Fruko used to be very shy, but these days he waits for me at the front door.

This is Turner, a proper Maine Coon. Behind that impressive size is an incredibly sweet cat!

Wherever Mickey is, Teddie is never far away. These two sweethearts are happiest staying at home!

This lovely lady is Mischief! She loves playing and all the attention she can get.

Dexter always knows exactly where he would rather be: on his bed.

A little ball or anything else that rolls, and Ozzy’s trust was quickly won!

Bonita loves treats! But if she has to choose, cuddle time still beats playtime.

Meet Chimia. I also call him my little sweetheart. Nothing beats relaxing in the sunshine while I’m cat sitting!

Don’t let her size fool you. Punt knows exactly what she wants!

Just like her sister Mischief, Rusty loves toys and treats.

This is Bo, a very sweet lady. Sometimes she is still a little reserved, and that is absolutely fine. I respect her boundaries.

There’s nothing quite like sleeping in your own bed! Montana, together with her brother Turner, is happiest staying at home.
Photo coming soon: Christian during a visit with a client

Christian, your dedicated cat sitter
I live in Oikos, here in Enschede, together with my three cats. Cats have been part of my daily life for well over 13 years now. During that time, I have learned just how different every cat can be. One comes over to investigate straight away, while another needs a little more time and space first.
At the end of 2023, alongside caring for my own cats, I also started looking after other people’s cats. What began through an online pet-sitting platform quickly grew into more regular clients and bookings. At the end of 2025, I decided to take the next step and continue under my own name: Kattenoppas Enschede.
I bring that experience to every visit. I pay attention not only to food, water and a clean litter tray, but also to the small things. Is your cat eating as usual? Are they behaving differently from normal? If I notice something, I let you know. I also have experience administering medication. I do this calmly and patiently, following your instructions and with as little stress for your cat as possible.
You are trusting me not only with the care of your cat, but also with the key to your home. I take that trust seriously. That is why I make clear arrangements beforehand and take great care with your home, your belongings and, of course, your cat.
My own cats

Gizmo
My faithful shadow around the house. If Gizmo had his way, he would spend the whole day on my lap. The magic word? Chicken!

Pascha
Pascha is a little more independent, but in the evenings she likes to join me on the sofa. Always in her own time.

Pablo
Pablo is the youngest of the three. When it’s time for wet food and I ask, “Does Pascha want some too? Go and get Pascha!”, she runs to the stairs and keeps meowing upstairs until Pascha comes down. It always makes me laugh!
From first meeting to coming home worry-free
Five steps, always discussed with you beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.
A free, no-obligation meet-and-greet at your home
After your request, I first like to come by and meet you in person. We discuss your cat’s routine, food, health and any medication, and of course I get to know your cat too. The meet-and-greet is completely free and without obligation.
Everything arranged before you leave
About a week before your departure, I get in touch again. We arrange the key handover and go through everything once more to make sure the information is still correct. That way, the final details are settled and you can leave with peace of mind.
Care that follows your cat’s usual routine
During the sitting period, I visit your home at the agreed times and follow your cat’s familiar routine as closely as possible. I take my time with the care and adapt each visit to what your cat needs at that moment.
An update after every visit
After each visit, you receive a personal WhatsApp update with photos and/or a short video. That means you do not have to wonder how things are going at home while you are away. If I notice anything unusual, I will of course let you know straight away.
Coming home worry-free
I also like to stay in touch around the time you return home. I keep hold of your key until you have safely arrived back. If your return journey is unexpectedly delayed, I can continue caring for your cat if needed. Once you are home, we arrange a convenient time for me to return the key.
After the sitting period, you will receive a clear invoice, easily payable via iDEAL, Wero, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Real experiences from real clients
The trust my clients place in me means a great deal. Below you can read some of their experiences with my cat-sitting service. The full reviews can also be found on Google Reviews and Trustpilot.

Gerrit
Our cat Gerrit normally does not accept contact from strangers. … To my great surprise, Christian actually managed to build a bond with him.
Every day, I received a photo or video in which Gerrit gradually came a little closer.
Before we left, he said, “I’ll look after them as if they were my own cats,” and that was such a reassuring thing to hear! … One of our cats needs medication, and that was no problem at all.
He sent wonderful photos and detailed daily updates…
After a lot of hesitation between a boarding cattery and keeping the cats at home, we ultimately chose the latter.
He also responds very quickly on WhatsApp and is easy to reach in an emergency.
Not only does he know a great deal about cats, but he also helps wherever he can. He even feeds our chickens and changes the water for the ducks.
While we were away, he also took very good care of our plants and the house in general, which gave us real peace of mind.
He kept me updated throughout, which gave me enormous peace of mind.
He is well organised, always gets in touch if something comes up, and takes initiative as soon as something seems different from normal.
He is also happy to sit with the cats for a while rather than simply dropping in to clean the litter tray and put out some food.
By now, he knows both of our cats inside out, each with their own personality.
Serving Enschede and surrounding areas
I provide in-home cat sitting throughout Enschede and the surrounding area.
Is your neighbourhood or town not listed? Feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to see what is possible.
Still have questions?
Do you also look after cats in your own home?
No. I exclusively provide cat sitting in the cat’s own home. Your cat can therefore stay in their familiar surroundings while I come to your home to provide the care. This means the familiar smells, sleeping spots and daily routine can stay as normal as possible.
Do you also provide cat sitting outside Enschede?
My service area covers Enschede and the surrounding countryside. If you live just outside my usual service area, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll be happy to see what’s possible. Any travel costs will always be clearly included in the quote beforehand.
Can I book cat sitting for more than one cat?
Yes. I look after up to five cats within one household, with no surcharge for additional cats. During the meet-and-greet, we can decide together which package provides enough time for the care and attention your cats need.
Which visit package is best for my cat?
That mainly depends on your cat’s personality and how much attention and care they need. A shorter visit may be enough for a more independent cat, while a sociable cat or one that needs a little more attention or care will often benefit from a longer visit. During the free, no-obligation introduction, I’ll be happy to help you choose the most suitable option.
Can you also give my cat medication?
Yes. I have experience administering medication to cats and always carefully follow the instructions we discuss beforehand. During the introduction, let me know what medication your cat needs and how it should be administered. We can then discuss together what is needed and what is possible.
How far in advance should I book?
You can book up to one year in advance. Especially during school holidays and around public holidays, I recommend getting in touch as early as possible because popular periods can fill up quickly.
Can I still request a visit at short notice?
That depends on my availability. Feel free to get in touch to ask what may still be possible. Emergency rates apply to requests made within 48 hours.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Of course, plans can change. You can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the start of the sitting period. For cancellations within 7 days, 50% of the agreed amount may be charged, and for cancellations within 72 hours, the full amount may be charged. If I am able to fill the newly available period with another booking, I may waive all or part of the cancellation fee.
The full cancellation policy can be found in the Terms & Conditions.
Can I change any of the arrangements while I am away?
Yes, by mutual agreement. If, for example, you need an extra visit, are coming home earlier than planned or would like to change the care arrangements, please let me know as soon as possible. I will then see what can be accommodated within my schedule. Additional or longer visits and package changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
What if my return journey is delayed?
Please let me know as soon as possible if you unexpectedly arrive home later than planned. In principle, I keep hold of your key until you have confirmed that you are safely home. That way, if there is a delay, we can arrange an additional visit if needed and subject to my availability.
If you would rather have me put the key through the letterbox after the final visit, for example, that can of course be arranged.
What happens if my cat becomes ill while I am away?
If I am concerned about your cat’s health or wellbeing, I will first try to contact you or your emergency contact. If urgent medical attention is needed and I cannot reach anyone, I may contact your own vet, another vet or an emergency clinic in your cat’s best interests. If necessary, I can also transport your cat to the vet.
Any costs for consultations, treatment, medication, transport and any additional care are the responsibility of the owner.
Can you keep my key for a future booking?
Yes. Key holding is free for regular clients and means we do not need to arrange a new key handover for every booking. Your key is stored carefully without an address label or any other identifying information that could reveal your address.
How do you reduce the risk of spreading illnesses between cats?
Hygiene is important to me, especially because I may visit several different households on the same day. I do not wear outdoor shoes inside the home and I disinfect my hands during visits. If a cat is clearly unwell, I adjust my schedule so that other cats are not visited immediately afterwards. If necessary, I also use clean additional work clothing.
This helps reduce the risk of pathogens being transferred between different households.
What happens if you unexpectedly cannot make a visit yourself?
In principle, I personally carry out all agreed visits. If illness, an accident or another serious unexpected situation genuinely prevents me from coming, I will contact you or your emergency contact as soon as possible. I will always make every effort to arrange suitable replacement care so that your cat is not left without the necessary care.

School holidays and public holidays are popular periods and can fill up quickly. I therefore recommend getting in touch well in advance, so I can continue to reserve enough time and attention for every cat.
